Christmas with Frank Zander
Celebrating with the homeless and the needy.

Even back in the 70s, Frank Zander felt a duty to support the poorest of the poor in his native city of Berlin and be actively involved in reaching out to people in need. Despite his achievements as a successful musician, actor, and entertainer, Frank Zander has remained grounded and sees leveraging his popularity for social purposes as a matter of course.

In 1995, he organized his first Christmas celebrations for approximately 300 homeless people and people in need with his family in Diedersdorf palace. 20 years on, this Christmas celebration now accommodates more than 3,000 guests and has become not only a large-scale organization project, but also one of the most important events in Berlin. Prominent figures, such as Reinhard Mey, Axel Schulz, Laurenz Meyer, Andrea Fischer, and Oli P. are present to serve the finest roast goose, while well-known stars take to the stage in turn. Frank Schöbel, the ensemble from Berlin’s “Theatre des Westens”, Ayman, Achim Mentzel, Catlén, Gebrüder Blattschuss, Bernhard Brink, and Flashback – to name but a few – forgo all fees to sing and play for the homeless.

Since 2013, exapture GmbH is also among the supporters of this fantastic project, which is continuing to grow from year to year and has been the source of inspiration for numerous other events of this kind.

Social Responsibility

United Kids Foundations
A step closer to achieving the overall target.

Success is always a good reason to be pleased. Especially when it’s for a good cause. Nearly six months ago, the “1,000 x 1,000 – BraWo Alliance Against Child Poverty” campaign began with the aim of attracting 1,000 supporters who would donate at least 1,000 euros each.

Now, after just over half of the year has passed, the number of donors has risen to beyond the halfway mark. The initiators are proud to have acquired more than 600 companies, institutions, and private individuals for their major campaign.

This promising interim result makes us confident of reaching the overall target by the end of the year. A financial contribution that will help to effectively combat the agonizing and alarmingly extensive child poverty in the region.

We at exapture are delighted to make a contribution and be a part of this excellent initiative – and even more so if we can encourage you to also get involved. For more information, please go to: www.united-kids-foundations.de

Children’s Food Bank and Tuition Initiatives in Germany

Germany is one of the world’s richest countries, and yet more than 2.5 million children live below the poverty line. Because of their families’ economic situations, poor children suffer from physical and psychological strain, and are plagued by anxiety and fear. As a result, they forget what is most important for them – the ability to simply be a child.
For many children, a hot meal, a piece of fresh fruit, as well as warm and, above all else, suitable clothing are not a sure thing.

Since 2012, the Kinderaktionshilfe e.V. organization in Erfurt has been trying to help children affected by poverty in Germany. They aim to provide financial support, as well as supply them with clothes and supplies for their everyday needs. They also have a strong desire to improve these children’s chance of an education. Under the guiding principle of “every child has a right to education,” children at the “NachhilfeCentren Kindertisch” centers receive free, unbureaucratic tuition and are given nourishing food to help them concentrate.

We are pleased to make an annual contribution to help support this campaign for disadvantaged children. If you would also like to help, please go here for more information.
